Junior Golf Development
We help junior golfers prepare and learn from their experiences so that they grow and develop into better people and players. Ultimately, it’s all about making progress on your goals, learning, and improving. With our advising, golfers have a structure which enables them to meaningfully develop their games and make progress towards their recruiting goals. The three main areas of focus are the following:
NAVIGATING JUNIOR GOLF
Junior golf can feel like a maze. There are many options and lots of information. It’s hard to make sense of it all and really feel confident that you are on the right path. We provide families with a personalized roadmap to help student-athletes play in the right tournaments (and at the appropriate frequency) to develop their skills and confidence, while also building the right resume to be on their ideal recruiting path.
IMPROVING SKILLS AND SCORING
Having a good swing coach who you trust is critical. So is knowing how to practice so that you can take those skills with you onto the course. We help younger players learn how to structure their practice, both in season and during the winter, to maximize their skill retention so that they perform at their highest level when it matters most — in tournament competition.
DEVELOPING A PROCESS-FOCUSED-MINDSET
In golf, just as in life, there are many things that you can’t control. We help students learn to focus their efforts and their goals on the things that they have the ability to effect. Establishing process-based goals enables players to make more progress and not let distractions get in the way of their progress. Having this mindset becomes a huge asset during the recruiting process, when the results “matter more” and coaches are watching. Players with a process focus are able to lean on their foundational skills and continue to perform well amid increased pressure and higher stakes.
